There's
a girl I know, she's so cool, She's
so alluring when she smiles my way, One
day soon, I'll try to make it right I
originally wrote this in 1980 after I moved from
Canada to attend university in Florida. It is a
whimsical look inside a young, shy mans
thoughts about the girl of his fancy and whether
hell have the courage to ask to ask her to come to live with him in the USA. Most of
the instrumental work in recording this song was
done by Doug Hutchison, a college buddy and my
first friend in the USA. A great musician, Doug
taught me guitar stuff and we would play this and
other songs whenever we got together. We kept in
touch through the years and I was pleased to be
able to finally get Doug onto one of my albums.
