Lyrics

Road trip started out in B.C.
Takin' us where we want to be.
Coast to coast, one more time
Ramblin' again and feeling fine.
Ramblin' again and feeling fine

East coast bound, livin' it right,
Chillin' a bit, taking in the sights.
Stopping for shows at the roadhouse bars
(Then) back on the road 'cause we're travelin' far,
Oh yeah, we're travelin' far.

Halfway through, taking a break,
Hanging with friends out at the lake
In town (the) juke joint's always hoppin'
Neon sign says "The Moose Are Rocking".
Oh yeah, The Moose Are Rocking'.

End of the road trip, heading back home,
Sure felt good to feel free to roam.
Hope you liked what you did hear,
Thanks for the comfort and the beers.
For the comfort and the beers.

Song Notes

As a Canadian, it was a great thrill for me to have two Juno award winners - Ray Bonneville and Willie P Bennett - participate in this tune, just the three of us. The song is about a coast to coast trip - everyone dreams of crossing the country - sort of a rite of passage. From the Rockies to Prince Edward Island is a trip that’ll get ‘the moose rocking’. --Kenny Butterill
